Traycer

Privacy Policy

Last updated • Aug 29, 2026

Traycer AI, Inc. and its affiliates (“Traycer,” “we,” “our,” and/or “us”) value the privacy of individuals who use our applications, website, https://traycer.ai, and related services (collectively, our “Services”).  This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, and share Personal Information from or about Traycer users or their devices.  As used in this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.  By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure, sharing, and procedures this Privacy Policy describes.  Beyond the Privacy Policy, your use of our Services is also subject to our Terms of Service.

Privacy Mode

  • What it does – When Privacy Mode is enabled (default for all Team plans and opt‑in for individual users) we do not log or persist any Prompts, Outputs, chat transcripts, or user‑provided code. All such data is processed in‑memory for the duration of each request and then discarded.

  • When disabled – If an individual user explicitly turns Privacy Mode off, we may log prompt text for up to 30 days to debug and improve the Services.

Information We Collect

We may collect a variety of Personal Information from or about you or your devices from various sources, as described below.

A. Information You Provide to Us

Registration and Account Information.  When you sign up for an account or register to use our Services, we may ask you for your Personal Information to create your account, including your name (entity or individual), email address, and any other information you choose to provide to us.  If you use our Services using a third-party account, such as GitHub, we will also receive information from those third-party such as your name and email address.

Communications.  If you contact us directly, we may receive other Personal Information about you.  For example, when you contact us to learn more about Traycer or provide us with feedback, we will receive your name, email address, information regarding your use of our Services, and the contents of your message or attachments that you choose to provide to us.  When you communicate with us online (e.g., via our online chat bot), third party vendors receive and store these communications on our behalf.  If you subscribe to receive marketing or promotional communications for us, then we will collect certain information from you, such as your email address.  When we send you emails, we may track whether you open them to learn how to deliver a better customer experience and improve our Services.

Payment Information.  If you make a payment on our Services, your payment-related information, such as credit card or other financial information, is collected by our third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe) on our behalf.

B. Information We Collect When You Use Our Services

Location Information.  When you use our Services, we receive your location information.  For example, we infer your location information by using your IP address.

Device Information.  We receive information about the device and software you use to access our Services, including IP address, device type, device identifiers, web browser type and version, and operating system version.

Usage Information.  To help us understand how you use our Services and to help us improve it, we automatically receive information about your interactions with our Services, like the pages or other content you view, referrer information (the website you visited before coming to our Services), and the dates and times of your visits.

User‑Provided Code. When you use our Services, we receive code and any information that is included in the code that you provide to our Services. We never store this code. It is processed in‑memory and discarded once the request is complete, regardless of the Privacy Mode setting.

Chat Information, Prompts, and Outputs. We receive any information that you submit to our Services through AI assistant capabilities, like Tasks & Reviews.  Additionally, our Services allow you to submit text, images, documents, and other materials to the Services (“Prompts”), which generate responses based on your Prompts (“Outputs”)

With Privacy Mode ON: Chat transcripts, Prompts, and Outputs are processed in‑memory only and are not logged.

With Privacy Mode OFF: We may log prompt text only (never user‑provided code) for up to 30 days to debug and improve the Services.

Information from Cookies and Similar Technologies.  We use Cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies on our website.  What happens before you have made any choice depends on where you are, and the paragraph below says which of the two applies to you.

Where You Are Decides What Happens First.  If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask first: on your first visit we ask for your choice, and until you accept, none of these technologies are loaded - no analytics or advertising script is fetched, no tag runs, and nothing is stored on your browser or device except the record of the choice itself.  Everywhere else, these technologies load when you arrive and we tell you so with a notice carrying a one-click opt-out, which does exactly what withdrawing consent does as described below; until you use it, we take your continued use of the site as agreement.  We decide which of the two applies from the network location of your request, resolved as that request reaches us.  That location is used to make this one decision and for nothing else: it is not stored, it is not attached to any profile, and it is not shared with anybody.  Where it cannot be determined, we apply the stricter of the two and ask you first.

If you accept - or, in the regions where we do not ask first, unless you opt out - we load two things.  Google Tag Manager, a tag management service through which we and our marketing partners deliver analytics and advertising tags - for example web analytics and advertising platform pixels - and which we may change from time to time.  And PostHog, our product analytics provider.  These set Cookies and store identifiers in your browser and receive information about the pages you view and the actions you take; where you are signed in, PostHog also receives account information such as your name and email address.

If you decline, or opt out, none of them are loaded.  We store only your choice, in your browser’s local storage, so that you are not asked again on every page.  That record stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Embedded Video. Our home page offers a short demo video hosted by YouTube. Nothing of YouTube’s is requested while it sits there unplayed - not the player, not a thumbnail - so it is not one of the technologies your choice above governs. If you press play, we load YouTube’s privacy‑enhanced player to show you the video you asked for. From that point YouTube is a third party receiving your request: it can see your IP address and that you are watching this video on our site, and it may store information on your device in order to play it. That happens because you asked for the video, whatever your answer to the question above was, and it does not happen otherwise.

You can change your answer at any time from the “Your analytics choice” section at the end of this page.  When you withdraw consent, we tell the tag management service and the advertising providers we can signal that consent is denied, switch off our own analytics, and reload the page, so that no tag code is left running. The reloaded page then removes the identifiers our own providers set on this website, and loads none of these technologies again. As the page closes, scripts that were already running may send final signals - delivering information they collected while consent was granted, such as a page view or a scroll recorded before you withdrew, or noting that the page ended - exactly as they do when you navigate away from any page; we cannot prevent that without leaving them running instead.  Cookies that advertising and analytics tags had already placed before you withdrew may remain until they expire; you can remove those through your browser’s settings, and many advertising providers also offer their own opt-out controls.

Support Chat Is a Separate Choice.  If you are signed in, we use the Intercom messenger to answer support requests.  Intercom is a third-party service that sets its own Cookies and loads with your name and email address attached, so that we know who we are talking to, and it has its own switch in the cookie settings, which you can open from the footer of our web pages.  It follows the same rule as analytics about what happens first: where we ask first, it stays off until you turn it on or accept all; everywhere else, it is on unless you turn it off.  Accepting all or choosing only necessary sets both at once, but turning either one on or off afterwards leaves the other as it is.  With support chat off, the in-product chat is unavailable and a button in its place opens the cookie settings; you can still reach us by email at any time.  Turning it off shuts the messenger down and removes the identifiers it set on this website, without reloading the page.  Declining analytics costs you nothing: every feature of our Services works the same way whether you accept or decline.

C. Information We Receive from Third Parties

Information from Third Parties.  If you choose to link our Services to a third-party account, we may receive information about you, including your profile information and your use of the third-party account.  If you choose to submit information to social media websites operated by us, such as Discord or X Corp (formerly Twitter), we may receive Personal Information about you, including your profile information and your use of the third-party account.  If you wish to limit the Personal Information available to us from third-party services, you should visit the privacy settings of your third-party accounts to learn about your options.

Legitimate Interests.  We may process your Personal Information where we or a third party have a legitimate interest in processing your Personal Information.  Specifically, we have a legitimate interest in using your Personal Information for product development and internal analytics purposes, and otherwise to improve the safety, security, and performance of our Services.  We only rely on our or a third party’s legitimate interests to process your Personal Information when these interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

How We Disclose The Information We Collect

Affiliates.  We may disclose any information we receive to our current or future affiliates for any of the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Vendors and Service Providers.  We may disclose any information we receive with vendors and service providers retained in connection with the provision of our Services.

AI Service Providers. We may disclose information we receive to vendors that provide artificial intelligence services that provide backend support for our Services.

Analytics Partners.  We use analytics services to collect and process certain analytics data.  These services may also collect information about your use of other websites, apps, and online resources.

As Required By Law and Similar Disclosures.  We may access, preserve, and disclose your information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: (a) comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (b) respond to your requests; or (c) protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety. For the avoidance of doubt, the disclosure of your information may occur if you post any objectionable content on or through the Services.

Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers.  We may transfer your information to service providers, advisors, potential transactional partners, or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company or we sell, liquidate, or transfer all or a portion of our assets. The use of your information following any of these events will be governed by the provisions of this Privacy Policy in effect at the time the applicable information was collected.

Consent.  We may also disclose information from or about you or your devices with your permission.

Your Rights and Choices

Marketing Communications.  You can unsubscribe from our promotional emails via the link provided in the emails.  Even if you opt out of receiving promotional messages from us, you will continue to receive administrative messages from us.

Do Not Track.  There is no accepted standard on how to respond to Do Not Track signals, and we do not respond to such signals.

Your European Privacy Rights.  If you are located in the EEA or the UK, you have additional rights described below.

You may request access to the Personal Information we maintain about you, update, and correct inaccuracies in your Personal Information, restrict or object to the processing of your Personal Information, have your Personal Information anonymized or deleted, as appropriate, or exercise your right to data portability to easily transfer your Personal Information to another company.  In addition, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including in your country of residence, place of work or where an incident took place.

You may withdraw any consent you previously provided to us regarding the processing of your Personal Information at any time and free of charge.  We will apply your preferences going forward and this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before you withdrew your consent.

You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the contact details at the end of this Privacy Policy.  Before fulfilling your request, we may ask you to provide reasonable information to verify your identity.  Please note that there are exceptions and limitations to each of these rights, and that while any changes you make will be reflected in active user databases instantly or within a reasonable period of time, we may retain Personal Information for backups, archiving, prevention of fraud and abuse, analytics, satisfaction of legal obligations, or where we otherwise reasonably believe that we have a legitimate reason to do so.

How to Block Cookies.  You can block Cookies by setting your internet browser to block some or all Cookies.  However, if you use your browser settings to block all Cookies (including essential Cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our Services.  We ask for your consent before we use or install any non‑essential Cookies, and we do not use them unless you accept.  You can withdraw your consent at any time from the “Your analytics choice” section of this policy, or by deleting placed Cookies and disabling Cookies in your browser.  You can change your browser settings to block or notify you when you receive a Cookie, delete Cookies or browse our Services using your browser’s anonymous usage setting.  Please refer to your browser instructions or help screen to learn more about how to adjust or modify your browser settings.  If you do not agree to our use of Cookies or similar technologies which store information on your device, you should change your browser settings accordingly.  Blocking all Cookies in your browser, including the essential ones, may stop parts of our Services working; declining the analytics Cookies we ask you about does not, and declining support chat turns off only the in-product chat described above.  You will be asked to consent to Cookies and similar technologies before we use or install them on your computer or other device.

If you choose not to provide us with information we collect, some features of our Services may not work as intended.
